Why the bank asked for collateral
Banks want something to grab if things go wrong. When your credit is not perfect, they ask for more of it: your home, your building, a CD sitting in their vault. Most owners we hear from either do not have that or will not risk it. Fair enough.
Revenue-based funding works differently. The funder looks at what comes into your account every month. Steady deposits are the security story, not your house.
What "no collateral" means here
- Working capital and merchant cash advances are typically based on sales and deposits. No real estate or specific asset is pledged.
- A business line of credit can work the same way: draw what you need, repay, draw again.
- Equipment financing is the exception. The equipment itself secures the deal, which is often why it is easier to get.
Read the agreement before you sign. Many revenue-based products still include a personal guaranty or a general business lien. That is normal in this market, and you should know it going in.
About the "same day" part
Straight talk: nobody honest can promise money today. What happens here is a fast decision, and qualified businesses can be funded in as little as 24 hours. If your file is clean and your bank posts quickly, it may move faster, but that is not something we promise. More detail on timing is on our 24-hour funding page.
Who this is for
Established businesses doing $60K or more a month whose credit took a hit somewhere along the way. FICO 500+ is considered. Sole proprietors can apply. No tax returns required.
| You have | What it means |
|---|---|
| Strong, steady deposits | Your best asset in this process |
| Credit in the 500s or 600s | Considered, not an automatic no |
| No property to pledge | Not required for revenue-based options |
For illustration: two owners, no collateral
For illustration only. A landscaping company renting its yard, deposits around $70,000 a month, needs $30,000 to cover spring payroll before contracts pay. A dental office leasing its suite, deposits near $150,000, wants $100,000 for a hire and marketing push. Neither owns the building. Both would be judged mainly on bank activity. These are examples, not offers or terms.
How to start
Fill out the 5-minute application, upload about three months of business bank statements, and allow a soft credit pull to start. Funding from $25,000 to $5,000,000 is provided through our partner Merchant Fund Express. Want the full picture of how a file moves? See how business funding works.
Frequently asked questions
Is unsecured business funding real if my credit is bad?
Yes. Revenue-based options weigh your deposits heavily, and FICO 500+ is considered. No property needs to be pledged for working capital or an MCA.
Will I have to sign a personal guaranty?
Often, yes. Most revenue-based agreements include one. Read the contract so you know exactly what you are signing.
Can I get no-collateral funding the same day?
Decisions are fast and qualified businesses can be funded in as little as 24 hours. Faster depends on your file and bank.
Do I need to fix my credit before applying?
No. You can apply now based on revenue. Credit repair is a separate service if you want it.
